NORTHBOUND HEALTH

Nora Foster
Executive Director
Nora Foster PT, DPT received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from University of Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Bethel University. Nora brings 11 years of varied experience and practice in the Physical Therapy and rehabilitation world.
She has worked at facilities throughout the continuum of care: inpatient acute, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient, and long-term wellness. Nora was the previous Director of Therapy and board member of NeuroHope of Indiana between 2015 to 2021. In 2016, she was honored to be named the Indianapolis Business Journal Healthcare Hero.
She has completed activity-based therapy (ABT) training that included an emphasis on locomotor training and neuromuscular electrical stimulation from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation NeuroRecovery Network (NRN). She has worked closely with the University of Indianapolis and continues to assist their Physical Therapy program as an adjunct professor. Nora has a genuine passion and drive for serving others. Her professional and life experiences have given her a unique perspective to bring Northbound Health to Indianapolis and the surrounding area.

Megan Dearing
Co-Founder of Northbound Health
Megan Dearing PT, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington and a doctoral degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
She has 13 years of clinical experience treating patients of all ages and a variety of medical conditions with a strong focus on the neurologic and pediatric populations.
Her previous experience is unique, as she has spent time in settings throughout the continuum of care. The time spent working in hospitals, home health, outpatient, and wellness settings have given Megan the desire to help create Northbound Health to fill a noticeable gap in healthcare.
Her formal education, specialized training, and passion will provide a more holistic, hands-on style of therapy that is hard to replicate. Megan has a fun and positive attitude and loves to educate and empower her patients to pursue their goals.

Allyssa Mehta
Occupational Therapist
Allyssa Mehta MS, OTR/L, ATP is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist working in the state of Indiana. She received her master’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2000. She is certified by the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) since 2004. She joins the team with 20 years of experience in neurorehabilitation with a focus on spinal cord injury and complex rehabilitation technology.
Her background is in adult inpatient acute rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and sub-acute rehabilitation. She has experience with adapted sports, home modifications, and program development. Currently she is a member of the Clinician Task Force and the Sunrise Mobility Clinician Advisory Board. Prior to joining Northbound Health she became an independent provider and completed custom wheelchair evaluations and prescriptions for patients with decreased access to a traditional hospital or clinic setting.
Her goal is to provide expertise and advocacy to patients with complex rehabilitation technology needs to increase independence with mobility related activities of daily living, quality of life, and resource utilization.
Tamara Cream
Occupational Therapist
Tamara Cream MS, OTR received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Indianapolis, and her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Northern Arizona University.
She has been working as an OT for 24 years in many settings across the healthcare spectrum including inpatient acute, acute rehabilitation, pediatric home care and outpatient, skilled nursing, and adult outpatient. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with people with a wide variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, and traumatic injury.
Tamara strongly believes in the importance of a partnership with the client in order to make their goals achievable. She enjoys working cooperatively with all disciplines in order to fully realize the client’s potential and meet their needs. Therapy should be fun whenever possible and all interventions should be in service of meeting the clients’ goals, improving their confidence and quality of life.

Lisa Ross
Administrative Assistant
Lisa Ross RN, BSN, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ball State University. She comes to us with 20 years of direct patient care experience as a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, 2 years of administrative experiences at Emmanuel Church and a total of 7 years of customer service experience between her time at Eli Lilly and Company and in her current role with the State of Indiana’s IN211 program.
Her mission has been to come alongside those with whom she shares the struggles of disabilities, to be an encouragement and example. She joins Northbound Health to provide administrative support, freeing the therapists to focus on patient care.
